Microsoft has seen the furor. They know this app stinks. Yet they do nothing about it.

There was a time when Microsoft even had a RegClean team that supposedly answered email. This clueless bunch, if they still exist, doesn't answer anything at all.

Microsoft has given us the Golden Arches of programming, but this is not uneducated slop: this is a deliberate atrocity. In fact, the suspicion grows that Microsoft wants this app to continue to bloat, that they may know something about clueless users that we do not, that said users trust an application more if it's big.
