STOCKHOLM (Rixstep) — Julian Assange is back in Stockholm. He's taking part in the Social Democrats' 'Afghanistan Week'.
- Wednesday 6 October 18:30 - Conversation with Julian Assange; Pratap Chatterjee of CorpWatch and author of 'Iraq Inc' and 'Halliburton's Army'; and Jesper Huor, author of 'I väntan på talibanerna' ('Waiting for the Taliban').
- Saturday 9 October 13:30 - Demonstration 'Bring home the troops from Afghanistan and increase aid' starting at Norra Bantorget with a talk by former minister of defence Thage Peterson, ending at Sergels torg at approximately 15:00. Participants include Maria Pia Boëthius, Julian Assange, and Jan Hammarlund.
'Afghanistan Week' runs from 4-9 October. The sole venue is ABF-huset, the Social Democrats' educational centre on Sveavägen in Stockholm.
