The spirit of revolution, in the true sense of the word, is the spirit of community. Any meeting or coming together of individuals or communities, in a positive way and for positive purposes - is revolutionary.

Computers have so much to offer humanity. They may be fairly regarded as tools either of liberation or of enslavement, depending on how they function in relation to people and on what people choose to do with them. They have the potential to free people from many of the fetters of human history and to create nightmares worthy of Sauron's worst intentions.

Right now they're a bit of both. It would seem there is some room - not to say substantial real estate - left for improvement.
