I wonder if there is some confusion on all of this.  I wonder if
they're not understanding that this is completely different and WAY
worse than the 'Firehole' thing.  

'Firehole', in a way, gave 'legitimacy' to the whole concept of 
outbound filtering by saying in essence 'the only way we can get 
out is to tag along on someone else's coat tails.'  They were 
saying 'yeah... you're tough, but we're tricky.'  We're saying 'you 
ain't as tough as you think you are.'

Perhaps too, they've seen 'Firehole' as a non-event, and they don't 
think holes in ZA are newsworthy.
