Rixcomp

Phrack once suggested this was the most useful hacking tool ever.

Rixcomp is the XPT's file comparison utility. It sits there on top of everything tempting you to drop files on it.

You can feed it one file name at at time or two at once. You can browse to find each. You can even prime it with one or both file names from the command line.

As the exercise in file comparison is not to see how one file may be transformed into another but to verify files in fact are identical or differ, Rixcomp can be set to list any number of diffs and start the comparison at any conceivable offset.

Regardless of the tens of thousands of diffs Rixcomp lists its comparisons are blazingly fast.
