Joseph P. Nacchio was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Qwest Communications International, Inc. He joined the company, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, in early 1997 and led it through a public stock offering in June 1997. Qwest was a provider of broadband Internet-based data, voice and image communications for businesses, consumers and government applications.
