Hi Mike,

Okay, thanks. :) I'm glad to know that.

Yep, no feds. I have some friends in the FBI, since I did some work for
them during that Russian IIS hacker thing. I wrote the PatchWork utility
for the FBI to quickly check Microsoft's lame IIS servers.
(see http://grc.com/pw/patchwork.htm if you're curious.)

I talked to them about this because I wanted to know where they stood about
this sort of thing for my web pages. They said that since you were only 13
nothing much would happen, and since GRC had not lost hundreds of thousands
of dollars (and I really wasn't very upset about the attacks so far) it
wouldn't be any priority for them.

They said that if you were any more trouble for me they could send some
agents out to your home (Kenosha, Wisconsin) and have a talk with your
folks, but I told them that I didn't want to do that.

One thing I *do* want you to do though Mike, is to more careful in the
future, okay? Right now your youth is protecting you A LOT ... but in
another five years that is NOT going to be any excuse.

You *really* don't want to get busted.

The way things are going with this whole Internet thing, eCommerce,
Privacy, and all ... the world is going to be getting VERY freaky about
this stuff (since it doesn't understand any of it) and there will be some
really 'over the top' laws passed about hackers. I'm sure that prison
sucks! :)

But ^b0ss^ said that you got your Bot from his room, and it did look like
you simply hex-edited the Bot he's using, doing the alternating upper-lower
case hacker thing, changing the server, channel, passkey, strings, etc.
So it appeared to me that -- at least in this case -- you hadn't written
this thing.

No problem Mike, get over your cold (get more sleep! <>) and ...
be more careful in the future okay?? Please???
