Half a year onward
And in the High Court of Law
Came the Dissenting Nine
'Forward Dissenters
Go for the break-up' he said
Into the High Court of Law
Came the Dissenting Nine
'Forward Dissenters!'
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the lawyer knew
Some one had blunder'd
Theirs not a meek comply
Theirs is to question why
Theirs is to do or die,
Into the High Court of Law
Came the Dissenting Nine | | Allchin to right of them
Madnick to left of them
Ballmer in front of them
Bellow'd & thunder'd
Storm'd at with clever lies
As simple truth all be disguised
Into the jaws of Death
Into the mouth of Hell
Came the Dissenting Nine
Flash'd all their worries bare
Flash'd as they turn'd in air
Nailing the witnesses there
Charging monopolies while
All the world wonder'd
Plunged in the fud and the smoke
Right thro' the line they broke
Miller and Hodges
Reel'd from the Microsoft joke
Shatter'd & sunder'd
Then they came back but not
Not the Dissenting Nine | | Allchin to right of them,
Madnick to left of them
Ballmer in front of them
Bellow'd & thunder'd
Storm'd at with clever lies
As simple truth all be disguised
They only fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell
All that was left of them
Bravest Dissenting Nine
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder'd
Honour the charge they made!
May not their memory fade!
