Bugs!

There are bugs to be sure. Out of the box an Apple will still want to boot with MacOS 9.2. This will change in March, and it's about time. Elsewhere at this site one can read about how MacOS even to this day is still an unprotected 16-bit system - and you thought Microsoft was way behind! But on their side Apple has OSX, what they claim (and perhaps rightfully) is the most advanced operating system in the world. And based as it is on NeXTSTEP, which along with BeOS sits at a level no other OS has approached before or since, it has to be good.

But there are bugs. Not big ones, not really annoying all that much, but still the same they're there. Apple Mail will not let you transfer messages to a newly created folder unless you both exit the application and also use some other application in between, evidently because the old image is still cached in swap. The dialer-upper won't disconnect - why I do not know. Maybe I am missing something here. Also, I've seen programming bugs in DVDs we bought - most notably The Matrix - but this is the fault of the people making the DVD, and not Apple (the bug is that the actual movie is only pressed once onto the DVD, and the voice over is simply a flag - and once the movie is running there seems precious little you can to do stop it and revert to the actual sound track itself).
