Interfaces VI
This is S3's installer for OS X. You might wonder what there is to install. That's not the point. It's a facility. Nothing gets hidden on OS X - at least not for long. You will also note that the total size of the install is 80KB. And that's counting the cute icon which weighs in at over half that. The actual 'executable' is only 20204 bytes.
This is the same installer Apple uses with its operating systems and developer CDs. The packager which made this installer comes free with the free developer CD.
And when you install something, that's where it's going to go. No subterfuge, no Registry, no need to track file operations. It's a different world. Like Rachel and Decker finally seeing sunlight in the original Blade Runner.
